On September 5th, Nscale, a firm dedicated to artificial intelligence cloud computing, embarked on a pre-IPO funding round with the objective of raising up to $3.5 billion. Insiders with knowledge of the situation revealed that this London-headquartered company plans to offer up to $1.5 billion in convertible bonds to investors and is also seeking approximately $2 billion in financial backing from NVIDIA. Third Point is set to spearhead the convertible bond investment, while Goldman Sachs will be involved in orchestrating the fundraising efforts. Following this funding phase, Nscale intends to move forward with its initial public offering. Earlier reports have suggested that its IPO could potentially amass around $3 billion.

Nscale has communicated to investors that the company boasts a total contract value of roughly $10.3 billion. This includes a substantial computing power supply deal worth $45 billion with Anthropic. Looking ahead, the company projects an annual revenue of about $18.1 billion and an adjusted EBITDA of approximately $13.6 billion. However, it's important to note that these figures are merely illustrative projections and do not constitute formal guidance.

At present, Nscale is in the process of building a sizable data center campus for Microsoft in Norway. Simultaneously, it is rolling out a significant project in West Virginia, USA. To support these endeavors, the company has acquired approximately 194,000 NVIDIA Vera Rubin GPUs.
