According to a research report by Huatai Securities, the computing power leasing sector is experiencing sustained high growth. The report, which analyzed a sample of 20 related companies, revealed that the median operating income for these firms in the first half of 2026 rose by 40.1% year-on-year. This growth suggests that the computing power resources invested in earlier stages are now being progressively delivered and utilized. Meanwhile, the downstream demand for AI computing power continues to surge, propelling rapid revenue expansion. During the same period, the median net profit attributable to the parent companies of these firms increased by 11% year-on-year. This improvement is primarily attributed to enhanced asset utilization, robust support from high-end computing power prices, and the dilution of fixed costs. From an asset standpoint, the average scale of construction in progress, fixed assets, right-of-use assets, and inventory for the sample companies in the first half of 2026 increased by 92.7%, 65.9%, 128.9%, and 64.8% year-on-year, respectively. This indicates that a substantial portion of resources is poised to be converted into billable capacity in the near future. Looking forward, with the ongoing growth in domestic demand for computing power, the computing power leasing industry is expected to further unlock its performance potential.
