In the first half of 2026, Huawei reported total revenue of RMB 467.819 billion, marking a 9.55% year-on-year increase. However, its net profit for the same period declined by 36.8% year-on-year, amounting to RMB 23.428 billion. This downturn is primarily attributed to a substantial surge in R&D investment, which reached RMB 121.382 billion—a 25.2% increase from the previous year and a record high for the company. Huawei remains committed to maintaining high levels of R&D investment, having launched three major projects in the connectivity sector. In the computing industry, it has adopted a 'cluster + super-node' architecture and is on the verge of unveiling the Atlas 950 SuperPoD super-node commercial product. In the chip segment, Huawei has introduced the Tao (τ) Law and is set to release a Kirin chip featuring logical folding technology this autumn. In the terminal business, Huawei is boosting its competitiveness through AI-driven, all-scenario experiences. In the second quarter, it captured a 22.6% share of the domestic smartphone market, ranking first and distinguishing itself as the only brand to achieve growth. As for the Harmony ecosystem, the installed base of HarmonyOS 6 has surpassed 80 million devices, supported by over 100,000 native apps and more than 400,000 phone-compatible apps. It is anticipated that the installed base will exceed 100 million units by the fourth quarter. Despite profitability challenges, Huawei is prioritizing the protection of technological advancement and market expansion to establish a robust foundation for its long-term competitiveness.
