According to data released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, from January to July 2026, China’s software and information technology services sector maintained a robust operational trajectory. During this period, software business revenue soared to 8,978.5 billion yuan, marking a 9.2% increase year-on-year. Total profit climbed to 1,039.6 billion yuan, up 1.3% from the same period last year. Software business exports reached US$40.61 billion, reflecting a 12.2% year-on-year surge.

In terms of sector-specific performance, revenue from software products exhibited steady growth, while information technology services continued to expand at a double-digit pace, with cloud computing and big data services revenue rising by 12.3% year-on-year. Additionally, revenue streams from information security and embedded system software also demonstrated consistent growth.
