Recently, major players in the fiber optic cable sector, including YOFC, Hengtong Optic-Electric, and Zhongtian Technology, have sequentially unveiled their semi-annual financial reports. These reports reveal notable performance improvements among these industry leaders during the first half of the year. Specifically, YOFC's net profit attributable to shareholders skyrocketed by nearly nine times compared to the same period last year, while Hengtong Optic-Electric reported a net profit of 3.12 billion yuan. Several companies have highlighted that, diverging from previous growth cycles propelled by 'fiber to the home' initiatives or 5G infrastructure development, data centers are emerging as a fresh catalyst for the fiber optic industry's expansion. They are replacing telecommunications operators as the primary growth driver and ushering the industry into a new era of technological advancement.
