On August 12, news broke that the Ulanqab Xinghe Base, the world's largest single intelligent computing center, has officially commenced operations. Spanning an area as vast as 20 football fields, this sprawling facility boasts a 160-megawatt power supply capacity, parallel computing capabilities equivalent to millions of cards, and a computing power scale measured in millions of P (a unit often used to quantify computing power, here assuming it refers to PetaFLOPS or similar). Remarkably, 80% of its electricity is sourced directly from green energy. By leveraging self-built wind farms, dedicated direct power supply lines, and integrating AI power management systems with energy storage facilities, the base has successfully established a closed-loop system that converts green electricity directly into computing power. Calculations reveal that a single kilowatt-hour of green energy harnessed from the grasslands can be transformed into nearly 30 seconds of AI-generated video content at this site.
