The Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization has unveiled the '15th Five-Year Plan' for the Advancement of Shanghai's Software and Information Services Sector. This plan will spearhead the 'Hundreds, Thousands, and Tens of Thousands' Intelligent Computing Cluster Initiative and establish a multi-tiered supply framework comprising 'large-scale clusters + smaller clusters + edge computing capabilities'. In detail, massive intelligent computing clusters boasting tens of thousands of units will be strategically placed in regions like Songjiang, while clusters with a thousand-unit capacity will be set up in areas such as Baoshan. Furthermore, conventional data centers will undergo a transformation into edge intelligent computing centers with a hundred-unit capacity, catering to the need for computing power with ultra-low latency.
