China Telecom Cloud (commonly known as Tianyi Cloud) has officially announced a comprehensive cleanup initiative targeting zombie accounts—those that have remained inactive, with no login activity, for an extended duration. Specifically, accounts that have not been accessed for more than 1096 days (approximately three years) will be subject to freezing, and their associated storage space will be reclaimed by the system.

In a similar vein, 123 Cloud Drive has also commenced a cleanup operation aimed at inactive accounts. According to their policy, if a user's account remains unlogged for a period exceeding 365 days (one year), the data stored within will be transferred to cold storage and retained for an additional month. Should the user fail to log in even after this one-month grace period, the data will be permanently deleted, with no possibility of recovery. Consequently, users are strongly advised to maintain regular account activity or consider transferring their data to alternative storage solutions.
Meanwhile, China Telecom's Tianyi Cloud Drive has issued a comparable announcement. However, it distinguishes itself by offering users a more extended grace period and imposing relatively lenient penalties. Even in cases where users remain inactive for an extended period, Tianyi Cloud Drive refrains from directly deleting their data. Instead, it adopts a phased approach to reclaim storage space, ensuring that each user retains at least the basic free storage allocation.
