Guangdong Electric Power A has announced details about its investment project in Karamay, Xinjiang. This project encompasses a 300,000-kilowatt photovoltaic power station, which incorporates 10%/2h energy storage capabilities, alongside a 500 PFlops computing power initiative. The total investment for this endeavor is estimated at approximately 924 million yuan. Breaking down the costs, the photovoltaic segment, including energy storage, accounts for roughly 824 million yuan, whereas the computing power segment accounts for about 100 million yuan.

Projections indicate that by 2025, the revenue generated from leasing the project's computing power will amount to 9.115 million yuan, constituting 0.02% of the company's total operating revenue for that year. The anticipated profit from this segment is 72,200 yuan, representing 0.01% of the company's net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company for the same year. Furthermore, from January to March 2026, the revenue from leasing computing power is expected to reach 2.7358 million yuan.

The company has unequivocally stated that, as of the present, there are no intentions to expand the existing computing power capacity of the project. Additionally, in response to circulating rumors, Guangdong Electric Power A has clarified that the project does not have a direct association with the 'East Data, West Computing' initiative. Moreover, the company's power generation operations have no direct connection to the computing power cluster located in Shaoguan, Guangdong. Thus, the assertion that the project directly supplies the computing power cluster in Shaoguan, Guangdong, is inaccurate.
