Data center operator IREN announced that it has signed a hardware procurement agreement worth approximately $1.6 billion with Dell Technologies, aimed at mass-purchasing NVIDIA Blackwell systems to accelerate the deployment of its AI computing infrastructure. According to the agreement, IREN will procure air-cooled Blackwell systems, including GPUs, servers, storage, networking equipment, as well as ancillary equipment, integration services, and warranty services. These systems will be deployed in IREN's existing data center located in the Childress campus in Texas and are expected to be officially operational by early 2027.
