The Shanghai Municipal People's Government has released a set of implementation guidelines aimed at fostering the growth and elevating the quality of the service sector. These guidelines advocate for an increase in the availability of intelligent and eco-friendly products, as well as the promotion of environmentally conscious construction and operation practices for digital infrastructures, including intelligent computing centers and data centers. Simultaneously, they underscore the importance of bolstering green energy services, refining and facilitating direct green power access, trading mechanisms, and green certificate transactions. The government also encourages the prioritization of green energy utilization and the procurement of green products and services. Furthermore, the guidelines call for expediting the green transformation of buildings, endorsing renovations that lead to near-zero energy consumption, constructing zero-carbon parks and supply chain demonstration projects, and pioneering new models of green consumption. This approach aims to create novel scenarios for diversified and integrated service consumption, as well as organizing green consumption seasons to further promote sustainable practices.
