Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released Announcement No. 9 of 2026, giving the green light to 690 industry standards. Among these, 109 pertain to the communication industry. One notable standard is (YD/T 6854—2026), which was developed by a team of experts: Professor Wang Ran, Professor Wu Qiang, and Associate Professor Hao Jie. They hail from the 'Top 100 Innovation Team for Advanced Networking and Communication Technologies' at the College of Computer Science and Technology, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. This standard is set to be officially implemented on August 1, 2026. Notably, this marks the first time that a communication industry standard, led by and approved for the university, has come to fruition. It signifies a major leap forward in the realms of advanced networking and communication technologies, cybersecurity, and industry standardization.
