The world's inaugural Cray T3D supercomputer, bearing the serial number 6001, is now available for bidding on The Saleroom auction platform. The starting bid stands at £60,000 (equivalent to approximately RMB 548,000), with the auction slated to conclude on May 31. Originally serving as an internal development tool for Cray, this supercomputer was subsequently installed at the University of Edinburgh, where it earned the moniker 'Typhoon.' In June 1996, it claimed the title of Europe's fastest supercomputer, as recognized by the prestigious TOP500 list.
