Tencent Cloud has released an official announcement revealing that several DeepSeek models are set to undergo upgrades and model switches. Beginning at 10:00 AM on May 22, 2026, older iterations, including DeepSeek-V3-0324 (along with its dedicated concurrency version), DeepSeek-V3.1-Terminus, and DeepSeek-R1-0528 (inclusive of dedicated concurrency), will cease to support API invocations. In place of these outdated models, Tencent Cloud will introduce new models that promise performance and inference speeds on par with, if not superior to, their predecessors. The company strongly encourages users to transition to the DeepSeek-V3.2 model, with corresponding adjustments made to the dedicated concurrency feature. Users are urged to finalize their model switches prior to May 22. Should any user fail to migrate in time, the system will automatically execute the upgrade process.
