China has successfully reached the 'Hundreds, Thousands, Ten Thousands' action targets for 5G factories. To date, a cumulative total of 1,260 categorized, hierarchical, and distinctive 5G factories have been established, among which 100 demonstration factories stand out as technologically advanced benchmarks. Data indicates that these 5G factories have witnessed an average product quality enhancement of 20.5%, a reduction in operational costs by 18.4%, and an average production capacity surge of 24.7%. A spokesperson from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology revealed that the subsequent phase will prioritize the creation of an upgraded version of '5G + Industrial Internet'. This will involve expediting the formulation of implementation guidelines to foster high-quality development of the industrial internet and executing strategies aimed at 'boosting both quantity and quality'. Concrete steps encompass bolstering elemental support, deepening collaborative innovation, facilitating large-scale applications, and refining the industrial ecosystem, all geared towards propelling all-round enhancements in the capabilities of '5G + Industrial Internet' in areas such as network infrastructure, technological products, integrated applications, industrial ecosystems, and public services.
