On April 15, 2026, a representative from Anthropic announced that, in response to a scarcity of computing resources, the company would revise the pricing structure for its Claude Enterprise Edition. Under the new model, in addition to a flat fee of $20 per user per month, customers will incur additional charges proportional to the amount of computing power they utilize while operating the software. The Claude Enterprise Edition, which was introduced to cater to the needs of large-scale enterprises two years prior, encompasses a suite of tools including the code-writing tool ClaudeCode and the office productivity assistant ClaudeCowork. Previously, customers were billed up to $200 per authorized user on a monthly basis, with subscriptions granting them a predetermined allotment of tokens at a discounted rate. It is anticipated that for certain heavy users, this pricing overhaul could result in costs that are two to three times higher than before.
