According to media reports on April 8, Pacific Investment Management Company (PIMCO) is in discussions with Bank of America to provide approximately $14 billion in debt financing for Oracle's large-scale data center in Saline Township, Michigan. If the deal is finalized, PIMCO will become the primary financial backer for the data center campus, which is designed to provide computational support for Microsoft-backed OpenAI. The financing may take the form of bonds, with PIMCO potentially distributing some of the bonds to other investors.
