Xie Lina, the Deputy Director of the Data Center Department at the Cloud Computing and Big Data Institute, affiliated with the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, elucidated that computing power satellites leverage laser communication networks to attain uninterrupted global connectivity and on-orbit data processing capabilities. This advancement dramatically reduces data processing times for critical applications such as disaster warnings, transforming response times from hours to mere seconds. China has pioneered the operationalization of on-orbit networking for space computing constellations, thereby cementing its status as a global frontrunner in space computing prowess.

Zhao Ce, Deputy Director of the Information and Communication Development Department at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, advocated for a concerted effort to explore multifaceted applications of space computing power. He emphasized the importance of bolstering on-orbit data processing in burgeoning sectors such as the low-altitude economy, while also fostering the synergistic integration of computing power with satellite internet. Furthermore, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology pledged its support for forward-looking research endeavors in space computing power technologies, the establishment of comprehensive standard systems, and the facilitation of technological and product development in this cutting-edge domain.
