DayOne, a data center operator with its headquarters in Singapore, has unveiled its ambitious plan to invest over S$8.9 billion (equivalent to approximately US$6.9 billion) in Malaysia by the close of 2026. The company anticipates that the proportion of its employees based in Malaysia will exceed half of its global workforce in the current year. Furthermore, it has set a goal to double its local direct employment, aiming to reach a total of 1,200 individuals. Beyond this, the expansion initiative is projected to generate over 5,000 job opportunities throughout the entire supply chain ecosystem.
