In March 2026, Iran's Tasnim News Agency unveiled a roster of nearly 30 potential strike targets scattered across the Middle East. This list encompasses prominent U.S. tech behemoths such as Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Oracle, NVIDIA, IBM, and Palantir, labeling them as the 'technological backbone of the adversary.' These targets are predominantly located in Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and other regions, encompassing data hubs, research and development facilities, and regional headquarters.

Iran has asserted that these installations could be subjected to military strikes owing to their engagement in the advancement of AI systems or their role in orchestrating cloud computing services. Prior to this, Amazon's data centers in the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain fell victim to Iranian drone assaults, causing significant disruptions to cloud services in the area. Iran's action is perceived as a countermeasure to U.S.-Israeli military maneuvers, designating digital infrastructure as a fresh frontier in contemporary warfare.
