Mechanical hard drive industry giant Western Digital has announced the official launch of its new brand and logo, with the corporate name changing from Western Digital to WD. This rebranding not only aligns with customers' naming habits for the company but also reflects its evolutionary development and strategic positioning. WD has now become a key force driving AI growth with data centers at its core, focusing on providing infrastructure that supports the large-scale development of AI. Over the past year, the company has made steady progress toward its established goals. Currently, 90% of its business is closely tied to data centers, AI, and cloud computing. It has signed multi-year agreements with core customers and successfully joined the Nasdaq-100 Index. Looking ahead, WD will continue to focus on customer needs, accelerate its pace of innovation, and lead the company toward a new phase of growth. Additionally, with SanDisk adopting a new product line naming convention, the transition period following the split between Western Digital and SanDisk has at least partially come to an end.
