Today, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) held the 'Star Computing • Intelligent Connectivity' Space Computing Seminar. During this significant event, Satellite Technology Co., Ltd. (the name is used hypothetically for translation purposes, as 'Guoxing Aerospace' lacks a direct corresponding existing entity in English) disclosed the world's inaugural space computing network blueprint, specifically designed for silicon-based entities. This ambitious plan outlines the construction of a network comprising 2,800 computing satellites. These satellites will deliver computing services essential for the inference and training processes of silicon-based entities and AI models across diverse domains: air, space, land, and sea.

As per the plan, the 'Star Computing' 01 cluster space computing center is scheduled for launch in May 2025. It is projected that a network of a thousand satellites will be established and enter commercial operation before 2030. Additionally, on-orbit verification for ultra-large-scale training computing satellites in space is expected to be completed by that time. By 2035, the entire satellite network will be fully operational, showcasing formidable computing capabilities capable of serving hundreds of millions of silicon-based entities.
