On January 21, the Information Office of the State Council disclosed that, as of 2025, China has constructed a staggering 4.838 million 5G base stations. This achievement has enabled 5G network coverage across all townships and 95% of administrative villages in the country, thereby establishing the world's most extensive and technologically sophisticated information infrastructure. At present, the number of 5G users in China has exceeded 1.2 billion, and the country holds a 42% share of the global declarations of standard - essential patents for 5G. Furthermore, the first phase of technical trials for 6G research and development has been successfully concluded, yielding over 300 key technology reserves. The second phase of technical trials has already kicked off.
