From November 17 to December 2, 2025, the International Telecommunication Union Radiocommunication Sector (ITU-R) convened the meeting of Study Group 5 (SG5) along with its working groups in Geneva, Switzerland. This gathering represented the third session of SG5 and the fourth session of its affiliated working groups within the study cycle geared towards the 2027 World Radiocommunication Conference.
The meeting centered on a range of topics, with wireless access being a key focus area. During the proceedings, a significant number of recommendation documents and reports underwent development and revision, with many being either adopted or approved.
China made a substantial contribution to the meeting, with 26 of its submitted proposals being accepted. Moreover, several outcomes stemming from China's input, including the newly formulated RSTT recommendation document, were either integrated into pertinent documents or received approval from the meeting.
