On December 3 (local time), the official information outlet of the Brazilian government, CanalGov, disclosed that TikTok is set to invest a staggering sum exceeding 200 billion reais (roughly equivalent to US$37.7 billion) for the construction of its first-ever data center in Latin America. This significant facility will be located in Ceará, Brazil, and the project will be propelled forward through a collaborative effort with Omnia and Casa dos Ventos.
