TikTok has announced its intention to invest a staggering sum exceeding BRL 200 billion (roughly equivalent to US$37.7 billion) in Brazil, with the ambitious goal of establishing its inaugural data center in Latin America. Monica Geis, who heads TikTok's public policy division in Brazil, revealed that the company is set to partner with Omnia and Casa dos Ventos to bring this project to fruition. The data center will be strategically located in proximity to the Pecém Industrial Port, situated in the state of Ceará in northeastern Brazil.
