Recently, Fujian Province has officially rolled out the "Comprehensive Measures for the Systematic Advancement of Computing Infrastructure Development in Fujian Province." The document outlines an ambitious vision: by the end of 2027, the province's public computing capacity is projected to soar beyond 12 EFLOPS (exaFLOPS, a unit denoting a billion billion floating-point operations per second). The strategy also encompasses the construction of numerous medium-scale computing infrastructure projects, aiming to judiciously expand the scale of computing capacity development and enhance the localization ratio of intelligent computing centers. In tandem, stringent controls will be imposed to ensure that the Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) metric of newly constructed, refurbished, and expanded data centers remains capped at 1.25, while maintaining an overall data center utilization rate of no less than 65%. Furthermore, the province is set to generate a minimum of 20 computing application case studies and consistently elevate the share of green energy utilization.
