The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) recently unveiled that Foxconn is set to invest an extra $569 million over the forthcoming four years, with the aim of broadening its manufacturing footprint in Mount Pleasant, Racine County. This strategic expansion is geared towards satisfying the escalating market appetite for 'data infrastructure'. At present, the facility is already equipped to manufacture artificial intelligence servers. Anticipated outcomes of this project include the generation of over 1,300 new employment opportunities, spanning both factory and office roles.
