On November 11, 2025, Microsoft rolled out the inaugural security update, KB5068781, specifically tailored for Windows 10 users participating in the Extended Security Updates (ESU) program. Previously, official support for Windows 10 officially concluded on October 14. With this, users could no longer receive free feature updates and bug fixes. By opting into the ESU program, individual users are able to prolong their security update support for up to one year. On the other hand, enterprise customers have the option to extend it for up to three years. The KB5068781 update rectifies 63 security vulnerabilities, encompassing a privilege escalation flaw that has already been exploited by hackers. Additionally, it resolves an issue where certain Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC devices erroneously displayed a 'support ended' notification.
