Tencent Cloud's DeepSeek API Scraps Half-Price Discount for Off-Peak Hours

Tencent Cloud has declared that, commencing at Beijing Time on September 10, 2025, the token-based payment model for its DeepSeek API will eliminate the off-peak hours discount billing mechanism. Previously, this system automatically categorized the call times into two segments: regular hours (from 08:30:01 to 00:29:59 the following day) and off-peak hours (from 00:30:00 to 08:30:00). During off-peak hours, a half-price billing rate was applied. However, post-cancellation, a uniform billing rate, equivalent to the regular hours rate (online inference price), will be implemented across all hours.
