TSMC has encountered a breach of its 2-nanometer manufacturing technology, reportedly caused by an internal employee who unlawfully procured and disclosed the technology to Tokyo Electron Limited (TEL), a Japanese equipment manufacturer. TSMC has promptly terminated the employee and initiated legal proceedings, with the matter currently under investigation. In response, TEL executives have made a trip to TSMC to offer their sincere apologies.
