On July 31, the United States Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit upheld the decision of the district court, dismissing Google's appeal and ordering the tech giant to revise its Play Store management policies to permit the normal operation of alternative app stores. Prior to this, Epic Games had sued Google for its restrictive practices, preventing other app stores from operating within the Play Store. The jury found Google guilty of violating antitrust laws, a ruling that was subsequently upheld by the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, which denied Google's appeal.
