On July 20, it was reported that NVIDIA has informed its Chinese customers that the supply of H20 chips is constrained and that the company does not plan to resume production. The H20 chip, which was heralded as the most potent AI chip approved for sale in China, has faced significant hurdles due to US export restrictions. Consequently, NVIDIA was compelled to cancel customer orders and terminate reserved manufacturing capacity at TSMC, as revealed by two insiders.
