Last week, NVIDIA's founder, Jen-Hsun Huang, visited China and made an announcement that the United States had granted approval for the sale of H20 chips to China, signifying NVIDIA's resumption of supply to the Chinese market. Shortly thereafter, reports surfaced claiming that several Chinese companies, including internet giants Tencent and ByteDance, were actively pursuing the acquisition of these chips.

However, ByteDance has since issued a denial, stating that it has not applied to purchase NVIDIA's H20 chips. This clarification serves to dispel any misconceptions or rumors regarding the company's involvement in the procurement process.
