On July 18, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology unveiled the economic performance of the industrial and information software sector for the first half of 2025. During this period, key projects within Beijing's integrated circuit industry advanced seamlessly, with four automotive-grade chips successfully achieving mass-market adoption. Furthermore, a series of new energy vehicle models, including the Xiaomi YU7, the Li Auto MEGA facelift, and the Enjoyer S9 extended-range version, were successively introduced. The automotive manufacturing and electronic information industries emerged as the primary engines of economic growth, with their added values surging by 16.7% and 24.6%, respectively. Additionally, the city's overall vehicle production reached 713,000 units, a notable 24.8% increase from the previous year. Notably, the production of new energy vehicles soared by 150% year-on-year, hitting 262,000 units.
