MIIT Aims to Foster Over 5 National-Level Pilot Manufacturing Platforms in 2023

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) is intensifying efforts to establish a tiered cultivation system for pilot manufacturing platforms, targeting six pivotal sectors: raw materials, equipment manufacturing, consumer goods, information technology, emerging and future industries, as well as addressing common needs. To date, over 2,400 platforms have been enlisted in the reserve pool, with 241 of these selected as the inaugural batch of key cultivation entities. The overarching goal is to establish at least five national-level pilot manufacturing platforms by the close of 2025.
