The Fujian-Guangdong-Hong Kong 'Cross-border One-lock' express customs clearance initiative employs uniform electronic locks and satellite positioning technology to oversee the entire transportation process in real-time. This innovative approach facilitates swift and automated inspection and release, eliminating the need for vehicle or lock changes at mainland-Hong Kong highway ports. Since its inception on July 17, 2024, this mode has successfully lowered logistics costs by approximately 28% and trimmed transportation and customs clearance time by 30%. To date, Xiamen Customs has overseen a total of 932 vehicles carrying goods valued at 10.49 billion yuan, marking a year-on-year increase of 24.3% in the number of vehicles and 23.4% in the value of goods, thereby benefiting close to 5,000 foreign trade enterprises.
