Li Min, the visionary behind Rockchip, has soared to prominence as Fuzhou's second-richest person, with a fortune estimated at 17.38 billion yuan in the 2025 New Fortune 500 Rich List. This represents a remarkable 73% increase from the previous year, a growth trajectory primarily fueled by the impressive performance of Rockchip. In 2024, the company boasted revenues of 3.136 billion yuan, marking a 46.94% year-on-year jump, while its net profit attributable to shareholders surged by an astounding 341.01% to 595 million yuan. As we enter 2025, Rockchip has maintained this upward momentum, with revenue and net profit for the first quarter rising by 62.95% and 209.65%, respectively. Projections suggest that the company's revenue for the first half of the year will approximate 2.045 billion yuan, an increase of 64% compared to the same period last year, and its net profit attributable to shareholders is expected to range between 520 million and 540 million yuan, indicating a growth of 185% to 195%. Rockchip's revenue surge is underpinned by the rapid expansion of the AIoT market and the company's strategic forays into sectors such as automotive and industrial control. Nonetheless, the ever-evolving international landscape and intensifying market competition present ongoing challenges. Furthermore, the share reduction plan announced by major shareholder Runkexin in May this year has garnered significant market attention.
