The United States International Trade Commission (ITC) has issued a preliminary determination finding that Chinese display manufacturer BOE and its seven subsidiaries have violated Samsung Display's OLED trade secrets, in contravention of the US Tariff Act. Consequently, the sale of certain iPhone 15, 16, and 17 models in the United States may be prohibited. This ruling reportedly stems from accusations that BOE illicitly acquired Samsung's proprietary OLED technology. In response, BOE has vowed to actively address the matter and protect the company's rights and interests.
