NVIDIA has exclusively launched a new computing card, the B30, designed specifically for the Chinese market. Built upon the robust Blackwell architecture, the B30 is priced competitively between $6,500 and $8,000, offering performance that is approximately 75% of its high-end H20 counterpart. Despite this modest reduction in performance, market demand remains exceptionally strong. Reports indicate that in late June, NVIDIA secured orders amounting to hundreds of thousands of units, totaling a significant value of $1 billion. Deliveries are anticipated to commence in August, with expectations of shipping millions of units by the year's end.
To adhere to export compliance regulations, the B30 incorporates technical modifications, including the utilization of GDDR7 memory, which has constraints on production speed. This strategic product positioning primarily targets users who prioritize cost-effective inference solutions, balancing performance needs with budgetary constraints.
