The rivalry between Korean and Chinese tech titans continues to escalate, particularly in the realm of OLED and microLED display manufacturing. Recently, the patent infringement dispute between Samsung and the Chinese display manufacturer BOE has attracted widespread attention. According to the court's decision, BOE was found guilty of infringing on three OLED patents owned by Samsung. Nevertheless, despite Samsung's decisive victory, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) declined to impose an import and sales ban on BOE's products, citing Samsung's failure to satisfy the necessary "domestic industry" requirement for such a ban.
