Statistics released by South Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT (Information and Communications Technology) and Future Planning reveal that the nation's ICT product exports soared to $115.16 billion in the first half of the year, marking a 5.8% year-on-year increase. This robust growth, totaling $6.33 billion more than the $108.83 billion exported during the same period last year, is primarily driven by the surge in global demand for semiconductors, particularly amidst the expanding needs of data centers.
