The Uzbekistan Tashkent Green Hydrogen Project, undertaken by Power Construction Corporation of China (PowerChina), has triumphantly commenced hydrogen production, heralding a significant advancement in large-scale industrial green hydrogen generation. This groundbreaking initiative serves as ACWA Power's inaugural global green hydrogen venture and PowerChina's first overseas EPC project in the green hydrogen sector, integrating wind power and green hydrogen production. The wind power component has been fully operational since mid-May, and the project is currently undergoing rigorous reliability and performance evaluations, with commercial operations anticipated in the near future.
