A groundbreaking research team led by Professors Wang Xuehua and Liu Jin from the School of Physics at Sun Yat-sen University has unveiled a novel method. For the first time, they have achieved spontaneous two-photon emission with an intensity on par with single-photon emission, and developed an on-demand micro-nano quantum entangled light source boasting a fidelity of 99.4%. This remarkable accomplishment serves as a cornerstone for advancing quantum precision measurement and optical quantum information processing chips.
