On July 10th, Michael Ashley Schulman, Chief Investment Officer of the capital advisory firm Running Point Capital, sounded the alarm for investors. He cautioned against the emerging risks associated with Amazon, Microsoft, and Meta Platforms venturing into in-house chip development. These technological giants, by potentially diminishing their dependence on NVIDIA chips, pose a formidable competitive threat to the latter. Furthermore, the transformative potential of quantum computing cannot be underestimated. While NVIDIA asserts that the maturation of quantum computing is still 10 to 15 years away, some industry experts hold a contrasting view. They believe that quantum computing could achieve a groundbreaking leap within the next 5 to 7 years, potentially surpassing the performance capabilities of NVIDIA's current technology.
