On July 5, 2025, Xiamen Luwei Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. celebrated the groundbreaking ceremony for its state-of-the-art high-precision photomask project in Xiang'an District, Xiamen City. Funded by Shenzhen Luwei Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. (stock code: 688401), this project boasts a total construction area of 53,740 square meters and an investment of 2 billion yuan. It aims to establish a high-end photomask production line, emphasizing research and development of high-precision photomasks crucial for AMOLED, LTPO, and LTPS technologies up to G8.6. This initiative signifies a pivotal advancement for China in the realm of high-end photomasks, a vital component that will greatly enhance the autonomy and control of the new display industry chain.
