In a strategic move to concentrate on high-growth markets, TSMC is progressively reallocating resources away from mature processes and anticipates exiting the gallium nitride (GaN) market within the next two years. Specifically, Fab 5, the facility dedicated to GaN production, will continue to fulfill orders until July 1, 2027, after which it will pivot to focus on advanced packaging solutions. TSMC emphasizes that this transition will not compromise previously set financial objectives and is actively collaborating with customers to ensure a seamless shift.
