On July 3, it emerged that reporters had visited the Amprius factory, a producer of power bank cells, on July 2 and observed a lull in production activities, with no signs of large-scale manufacturing operations. According to information from two suppliers, Amprius suspended production on certain lines in late June, leaving them owed millions of yuan in outstanding payments for goods. Attempts to reach Amprius for comment through their official website and administrative staff have yielded no response. The Wuxi Market Supervision and Administration Bureau confirmed that an investigation into the matter is ongoing.
