On July 3, it was announced that Samsung Electronics' semiconductor factory in Texas, USA, would experience a delay in its anticipated completion date. Sources indicate that the Korean chipmaker is actively engaged in securing customers for the factory's output as the primary reason behind this postponement. Samsung had intended to invest over $37 billion in Texas over the coming years, encompassing the construction of a state-of-the-art chip plant initially slated to commence production in 2024. However, the latest updates reveal that the factory's production commencement has been pushed back to 2026. In December of last year, Samsung also received a substantial grant of $4.7 billion from the Biden administration under the Chips and Science Act.
