The US government has recently lifted certain export restrictions on chip design software to China, enabling Chinese customers to regain access to critical software and technology. Leading EDA (Electronic Design Automation) companies, including Siemens, Synopsys, and Cadence, have confirmed that they are now authorized to provide their products and services to customers in China. Prior to this development, the US Department of Commerce had imposed restrictions, requiring these companies to halt sales of such software to China.
